The Human Resources department's focus is on acquiring, developing and retaining people to work for the City of Ottumwa. HR plays a key role in creating a people strategy to help the City of Ottumwa fulfill their service commitments to the citizens of Ottumwa.

This includes developing and reviewing job descriptions, fulfilling the staffing needs of the city, compiling and managing benefit packages, and administering employment policies and practices. The department also performs other functions that relate to the employee workforce of the City of Ottumwa.

Retiree Information for Pre-1993 Medicare Retirees

Members can lookup to see if their doctor is in-network by going to the Provider Finder tool via https://www.humana.com/finder/ and using the attached PDF to walk them through the process. They will want to base their search off of the Medicare PPO/Employer PPO Plus network option. They will also want to select the coverage type “Medicare or Medicare – Medicaid” and select the 2021 plan year.

The SBC contain a full description of your health plan and benefits. It is designed to provide simple and consistent information using terminology and a format that has been standardized among all health insurance companies.

The SBC summarizes the key features of your policy such as a description of the coverage, deductible amounts, cost-sharing obligations and coverage limitations and exceptions.
