Campground

Camping is available in the center of the city, amidst 340 acres of green space and lagoons. The Ottumwa campgrounds provide the ideal spot for enjoying the outdoors with picnic tables, shelters, fireplaces, tennis courts, playground equipment, and more. Nearby is the Des Moines River and adjacent Wapello County Trails.

All camping is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sorry, no registrations are taken. No tents are allowed within the RV section of the campground. Campers can use the shower house with restrooms and dumping station. Wifi is available. Some policies subject to change for special events.

The Ottumwa Campground is now open for the 2024 season.

RV Camp, with water and electricity: $20 per night
Tent camping: $20 per night
