Last fall the Ottumwa/Wapello County Recycling Center received a grant for $15,775.00. This grant was awarded by the IDNR, through the Household Hazardous Materials Program. The grant money was used to add additional concrete and another overhead door which will assist residents and contractors from standing water during rain events.
These new additions have greatly expanded the amount of the concrete’s impervious surface at the center.
