Beginning Tuesday, November 19, 2024, the eastern most lane of Highway 149 will be closed between West Fourth Street and the alley behind Walgreens for an Ottumwa Water Works project. This lane is expected to be closed shortly after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning and remain closed the rest of the week, weather permitting. Due to the length of heavy trucks with their trailers, they are not to turn right at the intersection of West Fourth Street and Highway 149 when coming from the east.
