Starting next Monday, September 25, 2023 the exterior southbound lane of Quincy Avenue from Hwy 34 to the stoplight (Kmart Plaza entrance) will be closed to traffic. The remaining lanes in this area will still be open to traffic. Motorists are advised to navigate around the construction zone with caution. If possible, motorists are asked to seek alternate routes.
Also starting next Monday, September 25th, 2023 the exterior southbound lane, and the exterior northbound lane of Quincy Avenue will be closed from the mid 900 block to the mid 800 block of North Quincy. The Mowrey intersection will remain open during this closure, as well as the entrance into the Pella Clinic and adjacent shopping areas. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes when possible, and are asked to exercise extreme caution when navigating in and around the construction zones.
This work is part of the Citizen’s Mutual fiber optic installation. Weather permitting, expect the closures to last up to two weeks.
